While visiting one of these places in person is highly discouraged for safety reasons, as well as legal ramifications that might be attached if you're caught, we are often treated to virtual tours that we can take in the comfort of our homes.
A few years ago, a YouTuber with a page known as Backroads Streetcars was cruising around Colorado's eastern plains when he stumbled upon one of these abandoned buildings.
As you'll see below, upon further inspection, the YouTuber discovered that the building was once a gas station that housed a Taco Bell restaurant. The explorer uncovered not just the old convenience store and fast food restaurant, but multiple kitchens, a nursery, an office, and other back rooms that weren't accessible to the public as well.

Again, it cannot be stressed enough that seeking out a place like this in person, especially if you plan on exploring for yourself, is a bad idea.

More times than not, despite being abandoned, the buildings are still under private ownership, meaning that merely stepping foot inside is considered trespassing.
However, now that you've seen the abandoned gas station, keep scrolling to check out more abandoned places found in various parts of Colorado:
