Believe it or not, Colorado is full of abandoned places. Whether they're homes, mines, buildings, or even entire towns, the Centennial State is full of them.

However, it should be noted that exploring these places in person is highly discouraged. Not only are these derelict places typically still private property, which would make it illegal to set foot on the premises, but they're also largely very dangerous places to be.

Luckily, sometimes we get the opportunity to take virtual tours of these dangerous, abandoned places from the comfort of our homes and a recent video posted to YouTube gives us just that type of opportunity as some urban explorers filmed a trip to a large building that once served as a school, a shopping center, and a church in Colorado.

The building served a number of purposes in its day, most recently as a megachurch of sorts called Encounter Church.

However, the large building was allegedly closed and left to rot less than 10 years ago in 2017, and has been doing just that ever since.
