Mount Evans is visited by over 200,000 people from around the world annually.

Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park will be closing Wednesday (Oct 9) at 6 P.M. due to the snow storm in the forecast.

The National Park Service announced via Twitter that one of the most popular, iconic roads in Colorado was closed Wednesday night due to snow.

Major delays and backups are expected inside the park.

High winds and 5ft snow drifts force the road's closure.

Trail Ridge Road is still buried under several feet of snow.

Just another reason to be grumpy about Mother Nature's grip on the Rockies. Though bikes and pedestrians will be able to access parts of the road, no vehicles.

Rocky Mountain National Park increases in size.

Just in time for Memorial Day, Trail Ridge Road is scheduled to reopen.
