My First Colorado Snow, Kind Of
I knew it was coming. I also knew it would happen earlier here than it usually did back in Kansas. Today's snow falling outside my office window makes it official. I've witnessed my first western Colorado snow.
It didn't last long, and it was the really wet variety, so it didn't stick but it was coming down hard enough I had to have my wipers on early this afternoon. So I'm counting it.
I know it snowed last week. But that was mostly on The Mesa and what was falling in town was mostly water so I didn't count that one. It did make for a pretty picture. It was also the first time I witness the snow on the bookends deal.
That's pretty cool. However, this shorts-loving guy isn't taking too well to dragging out the jeans and winter coat. The older I get the less patience I have for snow and the cold too. This week's forecasted overnight lows in the teens, not my cup-of-tea either. Don't get me wrong, winter has its cool stuff. And we're just getting started, but I'd be perfectly fine with snow over the holidays and then right back to spring. Who's with me?
