We all remember just a few weeks ago when there was a drive-by shooting that took place in Grand Junction resulting in murder charges being filed against 21-year-old Justin Fowler and 20-year-old Trey Shriver. It was a shooting that took place at 1:00 a.m. on Moonlight Court, and luckily no one was injured. Well, those same guys are looking at even more charges as they are suspected of shooting a gun at the Grand Junction Police Building located at 555 Ute Avenue in Grand Junction.

I got the details from the Grand Junction Police Department website regarding a police department employee finding bullet holes in several second-story windows of the police department on Thursday, December 17th. The employee immediately instructed a supervisor on what she found and it didn't take long until detectives got involved and started reviewing security footage from around the building from the previous night.

The footage showed a suspect's vehicle that matched the two guys listed above who were just arrested the day before for the drive-by shooting. After further investigation by the detectives it was determined that the two suspects will also be charged with the following crimes related to shooting and damaging the Grand Junction Police Department building:

  • 6 counts of reckless endangerment
  • 6 counts of disorderly conduct
  • 6 counts of prohibited use of weapons
  • 1 count of criminal mischief $5,000 or more
  • 3 counts of illegal discharge of a firearm

The police department as a whole is just relieved that no one was injured while this took place. And that the suspects were identified quickly.
