Hunters Don’t Miss This
The Avalon Theater is becoming the outdoorsman's (or woman's) place to hang out. Last Saturday evening it hosted to Fly Fishing Film Tour. This Friday, March 17th it's the Hunting Film Tour event.
I know many of you 95 Rock fans love to hunt. When I was younger, I hunted all the time. Out there every opening day, deer season, duck season, quail, and chase rabbits on a cold winters day. I even raised bird dogs. As I began my radio career, I hunted less and less. The changing jobs and constant moving prohibited me from making the local connections necessary to access quality land to hunt on.
However, my passion for hunting and the outdoors has never waivered. My father was a hard-core hunter. Long before I owned my first shotgun, he'd drag me out on all day quail hunts. I sat beside him in a deer stand as soon as I was old enough to reach the wooden slats and scale the side of the tree to the top. I dropped my first whitetail before I was 10.
This Friday is the 2017 Hunting Film Tour premiere in Grand Junction. The Avalon Theater will host this two-hour conservation minded, fair chase hunting film filled with awesome stories and mind-blowing cinematography. You can save a few bucks (no pun intended) by prepurchasing your tickets at the Grand Junction Sportsman's Warehouse, 2464 US Hwy 6 for $15. They're $18 online. You can get those by clicking HERE. Doors at 6:30 pm, the film starts at 7:00 pm. Grab your hunt'n buddies and we'll see you at The Avalon Friday!
