More details are emerging about Heather Jensen, the  Western Slope mother of two who had sex on the Grand Mesa last year. Leaving her children unattended as they fatally overheated in her vehicle.

According to caseworkers with Mesa County Criminal Justice Services Heather Jensen failed three drug tests last year before her children died from hyperthermia. Heather was arrested in spring 2012 on domestic violence charges after she allegedly punched her late husband in the face. He died in October 2012.

According to records she failed three court ordered drug tests in the months leading to the November 27th tragedy near Powderhorn Ski Resort. All because she wanted to have sex with a man on the side of the road.

A summons and complaint filed by Mesa County Criminal Justice Services caseworkers on December 31, 2012 reveals she popped hot  for THC in March 21, 2012 and twice in October 2012. She is due in court today to explain why her deferred judgement should not be revoked. If it is revoked she could find herself in jail for a while, and that isn't related to the death of her young boys.

On December 13, 2012 she had another failed drug test for marijuana, just weeks after her sons tragically died. Caseworkers also say that she missed three scheduled appointments to 'check-in' with them since March 2012.

Heather Jensen was arrested earlier this week in Florida on a Mesa County arrest warrant related to the deaths of her boys William and Tyler for false reporting, criminally negligent homicide and child abuse resulting in death.
