Wow Giant Turtle has Lightning Strike

Giant fresh water turtle has a lightning strike and all that can be said is Wow. This is from the River Monsters show with Jeremy Wade and I have to say this is the biggest turtle of that type I have ever seen.

I have caught a few of these fishing in the mid-west but I have never see one this big. The biggest one I caught was in the Missouri River when I was about 15. A group of us where fishing off the bank in west county when I got a huge tug on the line.

I hooked him in and started reeling but it was strange it didn’t feel like a fish. When I got him up my little brother freaked out. I would say the shell was about a foot maybe a little longer and he had a huge head. My uncle stuck a stick in front of it and snap he had a hold of it.

We took him down river, cut the line and let him go. After seeing that I could never understand why people would go noodling for catfish. These turtles live in the muddy banks and if you get one of them snap your finger is gone.
