Bears can be extremely destructive. Sometimes they aren't.

How many times have you heard about a bear breaking into a car to get something to eat and then it ends up trashing the inside of the car? Couldn't the bear grab dinner and exit the vehicle without necessitating a call to the insurance office by the car owner? Of course, the answer is no, it's just what bears do.

But, it's nice to know that some bears can leave as quietly as they came. Sure, they might not open the back gate and walk through, choosing rather to climb over the gate, but the damage is minimal.  Yes, it seems it would be easier to walk through the gate rather than climb over, but simple tasks are much more difficult when you don't have opposable thumbs. The fact is, bears love to climb.

So, here's this bear in Ouray the other day checking out somebody's back yard and garden. When it's done exploring, the bear proceeds to nonchalantly climb over the gate as if gate-climbing has been a life-long activity.
