The biggest fundraiser of the year is underway for United Way of Mesa County and it is going to taste so good!

A Different Approach to Taste of the Grand Valley

For several weeks now we have been hearing about a different approach to this year's Home Loan Taste of the Grand Valley, the annual fundraiser for United Way of Mesa County. Due to the pandemic, a gathering of more than 1,000 people in an enclosed space to sample food was not possible this year, but this has not deterred United Way from finding a way to make the Taste happen.

In lieu of Taste of the Grand Valley,  United Way of Mesa County has put together 'Ticket to Taste' coupon booklets featuring offerings from more than 40 Grand Valley restaurants, breweries, wineries, coffee shops, and food vendors. The booklet is filled with coupons that, in most cases, can be used at these merchants between now and the end of August.

The booklets sell for $20 until April 1 and then will go up to $25. Of course, all proceeds from the sale of the coupon booklets will help United Way's 27 non-profit partners in the Grand Valley.

How To Get Your 'Ticket To Taste'

This is a great opportunity to try out some places you have never experienced - and, at the same time, support local non-profits. Here's a word of warning, however. United Way of Mesa County Executive Director Zebulon Miracle says there is a limited number of booklets available and he expects they will sell out. That means you shouldn't wait too long to purchase your 'Ticket to Taste.'

You can order your 'Ticket to Taste' online and you'll be on your way to some great tasting in just a few days. Coupon booklets purchased between now and April 1 will be mailed out, and after that, you can order online or pick them up in person.
