United Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Grand Junction Regional Airport
A medical event for a passenger on board a United Airbus flight from Denver to Los Angeles forced an emergency landing at Grand Junction Regional Airport.
One person was taken to the hospital after passengers were forced to evacuate the United Airlines flight in Grand Junction, Colo.
Authorities initially reported there was smoke in the cockpit and cabin and five passengers were unconscious. The Grand Junction Fire Department tweeted an update:
Multiple passengers tweeted selfie wearing the oxygen masked that were deployed.
While others posted photos of passengers that had been evacuated onto the tarmac.
As of 11:20 a.m., a new aircraft and crew were on the way to fly passengers to Los Angeles.
