The Banff Mountain Film Festival Is This Weekend

The most prestigious mountain festival in the world, Banff Centre's Banff Mountain Film Festival is coming to the Avalon Theater! If you're a lover of the outdoors, and most around here are, you qualify as someone who should take this in.

The Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival is a Canadian thing. Every year in Banff, Alberta there's this nine-day epic festival that celebrates everything "mountain adventures".  The films include journeys, adventures, and expeditions as told by the authors, photographers, and filmmakers that lived them. The festival's world tour makes a stop in Junction this weekend.

Thanks to the Grand Junction Rotary Club, its here for two nights this Saturday and Sunday. It's the very best outdoor action, environmental, and adventure films with a new lineup each night.
