Teens Arrested For Robbing People at Bus Stops in Grand Junction
Two teens were arrested this morning in Grand Junction for multiple robberies. The teens robbed people around bus stops while they were waiting for the bus.
This morning (Feb. 13) two teenagers were arrested at Columbine Park. The Grand Junction Police department approached a Dodge Charger in the parking lot of Columbine Park. After speaking to the people in the car, the GJPD determined these were the suspected robbers.
The two teenagers were arrested for robbing numerous people around Grand Junction stealing their backpacks and wallets while flashing a gun.
A robbery yesterday morning involved a 15-year-old kid who was waiting for the bus. The teenagers pulled up, flashed a gun, and stole the kid's backpack. I'm not sure what you expect to be a kid's backpack, but they took it and attempted to take another.
One of the two teenagers is 19-year-old Gabriel Suarez, who was arrested on these charges according to KKCO:
- Felony menacing
- Aggravated robbery
- Assault in the third degree
- Theft
- Criminal Attempt
- Tampering with physical evidence
The second teenager is 17-years-old and therefore, his name was not released. According to KKCO, he was also booked on an unrelated warrant.
