Spend the Perfect Day in Downtown Grand Junction
I posted a Facebook question asking what your favorite things to do in downtown Grand Junction are, here are the results.
Go Shopping
Downtown Grand Junction has a lot to offer, including a lot of great shops. While record stores have been struggling in the past several years (R.I.P. Hastings and FYE,) we're very fortunate to still have a great record shop downtown, Triple Play Records.
Another shop that has been around for years is downtown Grand Junction's J.B. Hart Music Co. They have a wide variety of musical instruments from keyboards to guitars and everything in between.
Dale suggested shopping at a store I haven't been to yet, an antique shop downtown called A Robin's Nest of Antiques & Treasures.
Grab a Bite to Eat
If all that shopping has made you hungry, you're in luck, because downtown Grand Junction is full of great restaurants. Some restaurants suggested were Pablo's Pizza, Suehiro Japanese Restaurant & Sushi, Las Marias, and Blue Moon Bar and Grille.
Play Games
One of my favorite things to do in Grand Junction is what Bri suggested, play board games at Board Fox Games. Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. are free, but any other time is very reasonably priced at just five bucks. Plus, they have snacks and drinks to enjoy while you're playing.
Watch a Concert
Another great thing about downtown Grand Junction is the plethora of live music. I love seeing rock shows at The Mesa Theater, and just down the street is The Avalon Theater, which also hosts great music, comedy and film screenings.
Get Tatted/Pierced
Finally, how about some body modification? Dharma suggested getting pierced at Pandora's Piercing, while Brian suggested getting a tattoo at The Raw Canvas.
