A smoked BBQ dinner sounds delicious, and it's going to really help with Carol-Lynn's special needs.

This is about a community reaching out and stepping up to help a young disabled girl and her family, and more help is needed.

Carol-Lynn Wygans is a four-year-old Grand Junction girl. She was born with Holoprosencephaly, Dandy- Walker Malformation, Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, and has developed Scoliosis. Her adoptive parents, Greg and Jody Wygans,  welcomed her with open arms and are committed to giving her the best life possible. It's a difficult journey as you can imagine.

The Caring4Carol-Lynn Fundraiser has been an effort to help offset the cost of raising a special needs child and to help the Wygans get into a home that is wheelchair accessible and suitable for Carol-Lynn's special needs. Their current house is being torn down and they are needing to relocate.

There are several ways you can help.

A  smoked BBQ dinner and silent auction is being held on Wednesday, June 27 at the Historic Redlands Community Center. Tickets for the event are just $15 and are being sold at the door. However, an RSVP is requested. You can note your intention to attend on the Carol- Lynn Facebook page, and on the Caring4Carol-Lynn website.

Some of the items up for auction are a Botox Session from Mountain West Dermatology, 2 Funday passes from Glenwood Caverns, a pet spay and neuter and microchips from All Pets Center, and two carry and conceal classes from Top Shot Guns.

If you can't attend the fundraiser, you are encouraged to contribute on the Carol-Lynn Go Fund Me page.
