It's been a weird year for all of us for many reasons but one of the weirdest thing for me has been watching sports with empty or nearly empty stadiums. Now, thanks to vaccines and improving COVID-19 numbers, that is about to change a little bit...at least here in Denver.

According to KDVR, the Colorado Rockies will be allowing more fans into Coors Field starting June 1, when COVID restrictions ease to allow 70% capacity at Coors Field.

The increased capacity games will be in effect for the June 1-June 20 games and then they'll go on from there after seeing how things go.

As for the other Denver teams currently in action, the Avalanche and the Nuggets (who are both preparing to make deep playoff runs), capacity for those games at Ball Arena will also be increased a bit.

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) announced that the capacity for the games will be increased from 22.1% of the building's capacity to 42.3% after receiving approval from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).

Playoff ticket priority will be given to Avalanche and Nugget ticket plan holders and partners through pregame sales. If there are any remaining seats, they will be made available at a later date.
