Over a foot of snow puts Powderhorn back on track.

Snow, that's all that was needed to jumpstart the season. It couldn't happen soon enough. It's been extremely dry on the western slope and the lack of the white stuff has kept Powderhorn Mountain Resort on a limited schedule with only a couple active runs. No longer.

With 14 inches of snow over the weekend and suddenly everything is right in Powderhorn's world. Starting Thursday, January 25th they will be back to a 7 day-a-week schedule. The famed Flat Top Flyer is now open from 9AM-4PM accessing Bills Run top-to-bottom. The resort reports too that the snow has allowed them to open an intermediate run from the top and crews are hopeful they’ll have additional runs open soon.

All this calls for a celebration! Powderhorn is hosting a “Topping Out” party this Sunday with special pricing for all day tickets. For the latest on Powderhorn just click HERE.
