Keystone Colorado's Massive Snow Fort is the Highest in the World
If you've lived in Colorado long enough, you're probably pretty aware of the unpredictability that comes with the weather, especially in the winter.
However, it's the massive amounts of snow that accumulate in the state's high country that allows for the incredibly lucrative ski and snowboard industry to flourish as it does.
One ski resort that takes advantage of this situation and takes it a step further is Keystone. Keystone is a popular ski resort in Summit County but is a little bit more off the beaten path than others.
The ski resort has an annual tradition of building what is considered the world's largest mountaintop snow fort in an astonishing two weeks.
With the help of a company that specializes in snow and ice carving, the snow fort is usually completed and open for skiers and boarders to check out in mid-December.
