Most recently, a popular food truck known for having the "best burger in Grand Junction" has announced its final day of operation.
Grand Junction Colorado's Smoken CEO Closes for Good
The city of Grand Junction, Colorado is home to numerous top-tier food trucks. Unfortunately, the city is now home to one fewer as The Smoken CEO announced on Facebook that the business had closed its doors for good.
In case you're not familiar, The Smoken CEO featured such menu items as their signature Diablo Cuban Grilled Cheese, Loaded Crazy Dogs, and according to the food truck's website, the Best Burgers in Grand Junction.
The food truck's official Facebook page made the announcement on Monday, April 8, 2024, citing poor sales this past winter as well as the inflation of the price of ingredients as the primary reasons for the decision to close up shop.
However, it would appear that while the food truck business will no longer exist, the owners of the Smoken CEO do still plan to cook their signature sandwiches and burgers at special events as well as barbecue competitions around Western Colorado.
While unfortunate for the owners of the food truck business and fans of the truck's food, the Facebook post announcing closure carried some positivity as the owners made a point to reflect on the business' "awesome journey" and the friends they'd made along the way.
