While nobody is saying that Colorado's craft beer industry is in danger, here comes another one that has made the decision that it's just not worth it.

For those of us that live in Northern Colorado, taking a Colorado road trip can be a lot of fun when it includes hitting up a craft brewery or two along the way. There are a lot of beautiful places across the state; but now, there'll be one less brewery to stop at while you enjoy that beauty.

It's always amazing to me, that you can drive six hours south of Fort Collins and still be in Colorado; it's a big state, for sure. A big state with lots of things to see and lots of craft breweries to enjoy. Though there are still other craft breweries to hit up in the area, this one has been pretty darned popular.

Many folks from across Colorado and the region travel to the San Juan mountains area in southern Colorado where you'll find great hot springs; most notably in Pagosa Springs. According to the Denver Post, the owners of the local brewery (which also has a great restaurant) are looking to move to California.

Pagosa Brewing & Grill has been in operation since 2007, but now the owners have announced that they're moving to California to be closer to family. Not only has Pagosa won awards for their beers, but also their food. People have been missing both the food and beer since just before Valentine's Day 2023 when they closed the restaurant and the taproom.

I had only been to Pagosa Brewing one time and did not get to try out their menu, which I should have while I had the chance: The restaurant was widely known for its salmon fish & chips.

According to the Denver Post, the owners are hoping to sell the two businesses off before leaving. It would be great if things could pick up where they left off.
