NEWS FLASH: Mesa County Sheriff’s Investigate Home Invasion
MCSO is investigating a home invasion from last night.
The incident took place overnight in the 400 block of Mountain Drive in Grand Junction.
At 1:42 a.m. Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of two males that had broken into a home and were assaulting the owner. The two suspects fled before the deputies arrived.
The homeowners reported they were asleep when two masked men entered their home through a window. The man was attacked and the family held at gunpoint while the suspects demanded money. One of the suspects fired his gun. The only reported injury was to the homeowner who sustained minor cuts and abrasions from the assault.
The suspects are described as two African American males, last seen wearing bandanas over their faces, with black hoodies. They fled the scene on foot.
Investigators are interviewing people believed to be involved r have knowledge of the incident.
