Heavy rains made their way through parts of western Colorado today and led to flooding in parts of the Paradox Valley.

According to the National Weather Service, this flash flood was caught around 4:00 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22 in Naturita, Colo.

The flash flood caused damage to the school yard and school's fence -- the school was also damaged by a flood back in July.

Photos from Naturita show water and mud over a majority of the roads causing a backup from Nucla to Naturita.

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction issued a Flood Advisory that went into effect at 3:28 p.m. and ended at 5:28 p.m.
