A trailer containing valuable professional tools was stolen on Tuesday from a Grand Junction business and the search is on.

According to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, the trailer was stolen from a business in the 800 block of 20 Road. We don't have a description of the tools or their value, but you can see from the photo, it looks like an expensive loss.

Please keep an eye out for this trailer and if you think you've seen it contact the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office at (970) 242-6707 or Mesa County Crime Stoppers at (970) 241-STOP (7867).

It might be easy to dismiss something like this as unimportant, but when you think about the business that lost the trailer you can imagine its significance to them.

I don't think we would see the trailer out on the road at this point, but, it could be parked in your neighbor's yard or driveway. The more eyes we have looking for it, the better the chances are of locating it and apprehending the thieves involved.

You always hate to think that we have people in the community who would rob and steal, but the reality is we do. Never assume your valuables are safe.
