Lazy Man Olympics is just three weeks away!

Last year was a first for Grand Junction and for me too. In all my years of radio, I've promoted events of all kinds but never anything quite like the Lazy Man Olympics. It was a huge success and all for a great cause! It was so successful that we're doing it again and this year we've expanded the field to 72 two-person teams. Fake gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the team that scores the highest after Friday evenings Texas Hold'em Poker, Saturday mornings cornhole tournament, and finally Saturday afternoons round of golf at the Bookcliff Country Club.

Entry fee is $120 per person. The proceeds stay here in Grand Junction benefiting Hilltop Domestic Violence Services Latimer House. The event is Friday evening and Saturday, March 16th and 17th. Yes, that's St. Patrick's Day weekend! No better way to celebrate than having fun and raising money for this great cause.

The way to roll is to get yourself a room at the DoubleTree hotel. You can walk up to your room after Friday night's poker and be on-site for the Saturday morning cornhole event held on the grounds. A special rate is available for all Olympians.

Saturday afternoon it's a short drive over to the exclusive Bookclif Country Club for an afternoon of golf with lunch and dinner provided. There's a recliner given away for the longest drive and for closet to the pin, both provided by Black Carriage Furniture.

At the time of this writing, we had over half the field filled. I know the weather hasn't been great but spring is right around the corner. Get your partner and get signed up today! A special award for best team name! Click HERE to get signed up and we'll see you at the DoubleTree and Bookcliff Country Club March 16th and 17th. Don't miss it!
