Box of Human Heads Stolen from Vehicle in Denver
It's bad enough when someone unrightfully takes something that isn't theirs - but a thief ran off with some extremely valuable items in Denver last week, that will not be easy to replace.
Denver Police believe the theft took place sometime between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (March 2) and 9:30 a.m. Thursday (March 3).
According to CBS Denver, an unknown person broke into a medical freight van that was parked near 23rd and Syracuse Street. The criminal proceeded to steal a dolly, as well as a blue and white box from the company vehicle. The box was labeled "Exempt Human Specimen" because it contained human heads. The heads were being transported by van for medical research.
A suspect(s) responsible for stealing the heads has not been identified and the box has yet to be located.
If anyone witnessed the unusual crime that took place near Denver's Central Park neighborhood last week, they are being asked to contact the Denver Police Department at 720-913-2000. Similarly, if anyone should come across the box or any of the stolen heads, they should immediately reach out to local law enforcement.
