Grand Valley’s 2019 Women of Distinction Making A Difference
We have some outstanding women in the Grand Valley.
Each year since 2013 the Girl Scouts of Colorado have honored some of the Grand Valley's most outstanding women. The women honored each year are leaders and role models in the community and deserving of recognition. So far, 21 Grand Junction area women have been recognized.
The 2019 Women of Distinction for the Western Slope are:
- Jenn Moore, Executive Director of the EUREKA! McConnell Science Museum
- Angelina Salazar, CEO, Western Healthcare Alliance
- Diane Schwenke, President & CEO, Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce.
These three ladies were honored recently at a gathering of over 300 people at Two Rivers Convention Center. More than $42,000 was raised at the breakfast for Girl Scout programs.
If you know these ladies, please offer a word of congratulations on this great honor and an expression of thanks to them for being great leaders in our community. It's women like this who are making a difference in the community as well as impacting the lives of today's Girl Scouts who are the leaders of tomorrow.
