Grand Junction, Dreaming Of A Scary Christmas?
A Denver area haunted attraction is extending the scary season into Christmas with a haunted holiday attraction.
The holidays do seen to run together. The giant retail stores are still selling Halloween decorations when the Christmas trees are being displayed. Thanksgiving dinner is hardly digested when the Christmas carols hit the airwaves. How about combining Halloween and Christmas?
Wasn't Tim Burton's 1993 animated film "The Night Before Christmas" just that? A combination of the two. It worked by the way. The film grossed over $76 million and won an Academy Award for "Best Visual Effects."
Friday and Saturday, December 8th and 8th, the Denver areas "13th Floor Haunted House" will feature a Christmas twist with "Krampus, The King of Christmas Nightmares, and Evil Elves." The haunted Christmas attraction is open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Is Grand Junction ready for something similar or is the mixing of the two, scary and religious, Halloween and Christmas, just plain wrong?
