An official Facebook post promoting the event describes it as follows:

Come sip tea, eat cake, and explore one of life’s most universal and often avoided topics: Death. This is a welcoming space to openly talk about death, dying and everything in between. There’s no agenda, no selling, and no conclusions, just open, respectful conversation among people who want to reflect on what it means to be mortal.

While some commenters on the post view the mere idea of a discussion like this to be morbid, many consider the idea to be a unique opportunity that could prove to be therapeutic. After all, whether we like it or not, death is a part of everyday life.
