While it has become somewhat commonplace to bring a dog to a bar in Colorado, cats are not necessarily given the same luxury, despite being even more behaved than their canine counterparts in many cases.

Cat-Friendly Coffee Shop to Open in Grand Junction, Colorado in 2025
The new business, The Downtown Cat, is slated to open up shop at 1649 Main Street in Grand Junction on August 9, 2025.
The grand opening celebration will take place on the aforementioned day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be "filled with adoptable floofs, cozy vibes, and the kind of place you’ll want to sneak away to for a moment of peace (and whiskers)."
In addition, the cat cafe will serve as a place in which patrons can check out work from local artists and can enjoy a variety of food items in addition to coffee, all with their furry feline companions by their sides.
