One of Denver Colorado's Oldest Mexican Restaurants is Closing for Good
Denver's Federal Boulevard is a long street with a lot of culture and one of the most prevalent cultures represented on the busy road is Mexican culture.
One of these Mexican restaurants located at 579 Federal Boulevard, Taco House, has been a mainstay of the area since 1958. However, after 66 years of slinging tacos, Taco House has announced that it will be closing its doors for good by the end of the year.
With less than a month until the restaurant closes on December 31st, Taco House released an official statement sharing the sad news.
The heartfelt yet sad statement said the following regarding reasons for deciding it was time to close up shop:
The advent of COVID, steadily increasing costs including food, paper products, wages, insurance and taxes have forced us to raise prices to levels that are increasingly not affordable for many of our customers. Try as we might, we have not found a satisfying solution to the challenges we face.
