2020 was a hard year, and it looks like Colorado needed their fix in order to relax, because for the first time since marijuana was made legal for recreational use in 2012, weed sales surpassed $2 billion in Colorado for the year.

The Colorado Department of Revenue released their annual report this week, which included their 2020 monthly marijuana sales. The yearly total was pushed over $2 billion in November, which reported $175,145,246 in sales, according to the report.

According to Denver7, the report states that "the state collected about $32 million in taxes and fees from marijuana sales" that month as well.
