One of my favorite types of shops in the small Colorado mountain town is the candy shop. I am always fascinated by the taffy-pulling contraption displayed in the window pulling the sweet candy.

The handmade saltwater taffy goes from raw ingredients to a flavorful candy in about two and a half hours.
