This Colorado ski season is one for the record books.

It's the ski season that may never end. It snowed in the higher elevations above 10,000 feet over the Memorial Day weekend. Some places received a foot or more of additional snow.

Purgatory Resort over near Durango is still open. Aspen received some of that holiday weekend snow, so they're still open. None will outlast Arapahoe Basin. They’ve just announced that they’ll have the lifts running weekends through June 23! They'll be open daily through June 2 and then reopen on the weekends of June 7-9th, June 14-16th, and June 21-23rd. Through this Sunday, June 2ed the ski lifts will start running at 8:30 AM and from 9 AM on weekdays and will continue operation through 4 PM.

I suppose the ski season has to end at some point. However, as of today Arapahoe Basin show they're received 4 inches of snow over the last 24 hours and continue to have a 76-inch base. It's a ski season for the record books. No doubt about that.
