Amusing Signs on Orchard Avenue Also Have a Serious Message

Driving on Orchard Avenue recently, I noticed some road signs that made me laugh. These signs also carry a very serious message.

The signs are not those traditionally put up by the road department but have been placed along the eastbound lane of Orchard Avenue near 28 3/4 Road.

If you're familiar with the area, you know Nisley Elementary School is on 28 3/4 Road just south of Orchard Avenue and Bookcliff Middle School is also in the area.

There are a lot of grade school and some middle school students who walk or ride their bikes along this narrow section of Orchard where these signs have been erected which may provide some explanation to their existence.

On the other hand, the signs may have been put up for an entirely different reason as one of the signs clearly makes you think it is a loud neighborhood.

Along the same stretch of Orchard Avenue, another sign with a very positive message greets drivers heading west.
