AC/DC’s Bon Scott Coming to the Silver Screen

First-time director J.R. Getches in making a film based on the life of Bon Scott, AC/DC’s frontman who passed away February 19^th 1980. While Scott’s life was short he made a lasting mark on the Rock N Roll world.

Getches has cast Rob Liotti in the lead role, this will be Liotti’s cinematic debut and he may have a screenwriting credit on the project. Pre-production has gotten under way, but it is very early going on the movie and according to reports Getches is still looking for funding.

No matter what happens from here “Bon Scott: The Legend of AC/DC” is a great story. Bon Scott was the proto-type frontman for a band and lived the rock star life style. With movies already made about the lives of Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Buddy Holly and Janis Joplin it’s only fitting that we get to see the life of Bon Scott on the silver screen.
