The 57th annual running of the great American race is this Sunday so to wet your appetite here are 15 wild crashes from the Daytona 500.

Racing is a pretty crazy sport, were else would 43 drivers jump in a car drive as fast as they can for 200 laps in bumper to bumper traffic. The whole time drafting and pushing each other to get to the checkered flag first.

I'm not a huge NASCAR fan but like most people I do enjoy watching the crashes. It is just amazing how their car can disintegrate around them and they walk away without a scratch.
