Colorado City’s Pothole Program Offering Incentives for Help

The state of Colorado's Department of Transportation has to deal with countless weather-related issues that simply aren't found in just any state.

CDOT has to be on high alert in order to plow city streets and highways during snowstorms, they get calls to clean up deer and other roadkill, and although winter is the time of year when most of these issues exist, springtime offers another challenge that is a direct result of the heavy moisture brought about by snow.

If you've lived in Colorado for long enough, you're probably well aware that springtime ushers in another annual headache - pothole season. However, in 2024, one Colorado city is not only asking for the public's help in tracking down the worst potholes in the area but is offering a unique incentive to do so.

Westminster Colorado Holding Pothole-Palooza in 2024

The Denver suburb of Westminster, Colorado is currently participating in a pothole repair initiative that has been dubbed "Pothole-palooza."

The program began on Monday, April 8, 2024, and will run through Thursday, April 11, a period of time in which the city plans to fill upwards of 3,000 potholes.

This program is a unique opportunity for Colorado motorists to not only report their least favorite potholes in Westminster to the city but by doing so, participants are automatically entered into a one-of-a-kind raffle.

The winner of the raffle will receive a personalized street sign from the city of Westminster. The entire project is expected to cost roughly $30,000 and you can report your least favorite pothole and enter the unique raffle now at the City of Westminster's official website.
