I've worked in several markets in my nearly 30 years of radio. I've not worked in a market that takes Arbor Day as serious as we do here. The 16th annual Southwest Arbor Fest is today in Lincoln Park, 12th & Gunnison.

It's the 1st Annual Chili Cook-Off at Village Fair. Our friends at Berkleys Upper Cuts is throwing a party in the parking lot raising funds for the Kids Backpack Program.

It appears to be a very long standing tradition here in Junction. The city cleanup program has been around since the turn of the century. While you're tossing out the junk why not take this time to help the Salvation Army?

Yesterday evening wrapped up Junction's first ever Lazy Man Olympics. The day-and-a-half event went off without a hitch as 60+ teams battled for the right to be crowned 1st ever Lazy Man Champions!

It's here! We've been promoting this for months. Finally, the 1st annual Lazy Man Olympus is set to start. The action gets underway this evening at The DoubleTree here in Junction. It's a benefit for Hilltop's Latimer House.

It's that time of the year. Spring cleaning time!  Get after that storage shed, closet, garage, attic and make some space. Then say "goodbye" to that stuff and help a family in need right here in the Grand Valley. Donate to the Salvation Army Thrift Store.

This week's weather has been close to perfect. If you're not overcome with full-blown spring fever by now, you may be beyond help. Ready or not, the first day of spring is Monday, March 20th. A great way to celebrate its arrival is the 5th Annual Western Colorado Craft Beer Celebration!

I may have managed to get the ladies attention with that headline but I was really trying to do was share with everyone this cool local program that hooks up young ladies with prom dresses.

The weather this week has got me thinking fishing!  My fever is sky high! A sure cure is this weekend's Fly Fishing Fim Tour event at The Avalon Theater.

Grand Junction's 1st annual Lazy Man Olympics is later this month. It's a benefit for Hilltop's Latimer House. You've heard in on 95 Rock. It's a new way to support this great cause and enjoy a weekend of fun, and most importantly, not too strenuous competition that includes poker, cornhole, and a round of golf.
