Grand Junction's 1st annual Lazy Man Olympics is later this month. It's a benefit for Hilltop's Latimer House. You've heard in on 95 Rock. It's a new way to support this great cause and enjoy a weekend of fun, and most importantly, not too strenuous competition that includes poker, cornhole, and a round of golf.

The timing of this event couldn't be any better. You may have heard that the Latimer House program has outgrown its current location. Hilltop Community Resources is now searching for a new facility that can shelter more people and offer more privacy. Hilltop Chief Executive Officer Mike Stahl “It’s been a great facility for a long time, but with our needs and where we’re at now, it’s time to get something larger.

With a move looming in the Latimer Houses' future the extra funds this event will provide makes it all that more important. As of this writing, less than 10, 2-man team, slots were still open. The Lazy Man Olympics starts Friday evening, March 24 (check-in at 6 p.m.) and ends Saturday, March 25 with an award ceremony after the golf round.
