Who’s Moving in Next to City Market in Orchard Mesa?
Have you seen the new construction taking place west of the Orchard Mesa City Market? Who's moving in?
That dirt lot has been there since the beginning of, well... since the beginning of dirt. It's been sitting there, unoccupied, forever. Businesses have been popping up right and left for years. Well, at long last, something is underway.
For some weird reason I have an interest in real estate. New developments spark my curiosity. When I saw this construction, I simply had to ask.
You'll see where the sign says "Project Management by Asset Engineering Limited." A phone call was in order. I spoke with a rep for the company. The official word she gave me was this site was a new location for a Dollar Tree.
If you're like me, then you're not familiar with this company. According to the Dollar Tree official webpage, the company's mission is:
Dollar Tree, Inc. is a customer-oriented, value-driven variety store operating at a one dollar price point.
The website adds, "We are a national company with thousands of stores conveniently located in shopping centers and malls in all 48 contiguous states."
Chances are you may have already visited a Dollar Tree around Grand Junction. Stores already operate at 2401 North Avenue Unit 10 and at 2535 Rimrock Avenue. To date, my adventures have taken me to neither. I'll have to change that.
Speaking with the rep for Asset Engineering Limited, she mentioned a projected completion date of late May 2019. That's not too far down the road.
Welcome to Orchard Mesa, Dollar Tree. I look forward to visiting. More than anything, I'm glad to see someone moving in at this vacant lot.
