Watch For Construction on 1st Street

I've not lived here long but one thing I've noticed in my limited time here is that road construction is always underway somewhere in Grand Junction. Traffic is down to one lane on 1st Street.

Watch for construction crews on 1st Street just south of North Ave most of this week. The crews have a backhoe on location so there will be some digging and odds are good this project will continue for some time.

Both north and southbound traffic is down to one lane with the right lane closed today between North and Teller Ave. Again, no official word on how long this project will continue.

This is just one of several road improvement projects currently underway around Grand Junction.  Always remember to be cautious and drive slow through all construction zones. Be mindful of reduced speed limits and always watch for workers.
