The previously unreleased Grateful Dead concert film titled Sunshine Daydream will be screened in theaters across the U.S. and is coming to Grand Junction on August 1 as the third installment of the group's "Meet-Up at the Movies" series. The flick captures the legendary jam band performing during the summer of 1972 at the Oregon Country Fair in Veneta, Oregon.

Sunshine Daydream offers restored, high-definition footage of the show with a soundtrack that boasts new stereo and 5.1 audio mixes. Among the songs The Dead is seen playing in the flick are "Playing in the Band," "China Cat Sunflower," "Dark Star," "Jack Straw" and "I Know You Rider."

The movie also features behind-the-scenes footage of the event and new interviews with some notable people who were at or took part in the show, including Wavy Gravy, former Dead tour manager Sam Cutler and Jerry Garcia's ex-wife Carolyn "Mountain Girl" Garcia.

Sunshine Daydream will be shown in more than 400 U.S. theaters. The one-night-only screenings will begin at 7 p.m. August 1st at the Regal Canyonview Stadium 14 Theater in Grand Junction. You can get more info at fathomevents.com
