The United States Geological Survey reports three earthquakes hit Colorado early Friday (Aug. 24) morning.

The first quake hit Trinidad around 1 a.m. that registered a 3.2 on the Richter scale.

The second shook the western Colorado town of Parachute around 4 a.m. registering at 4.3. The shakes were mainly felt in Parachute and Rangely. The Grand Junction area, Battlement Mesa, and De Beque most likely felt light rumbles.

A third 2.9 magnitude earthquake hit Parachute just after 5 a.m. It's unclear if this was a separate quake or just aftershock from the first.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
