There has been a big shake up at the NFL Today show on CBS, the show has added future hall of famer Tony Gonzalez to the line up so you can take him off your fantasy football draft board, while CBS gives two hall of famers their walking papers.

Tony Gonzalez has been one of the greatest tight ends to ever play in the NFL and should do a good job on the NFL Today with Jim Brown, Bill Cowher and Boomer Esiason. Gonzalez knows the game and has a great personality for TV. It has been long speculated that he would land on one of the sports shows and CBS was able to get the deal done but they will say good-bye to a couple of cast members.

Dan Marino has been on the show for over a decade and for the past two seasons there have been rumors he'll be leaving. Personally I don’t think Marino does a good job on the show. He is dry and a little boring to watch. That is what makes the second person fired so interesting.

Shannon Sharpe also got his walking papers today from CBS. Sharpe, like Marino, has been part of the show for a decade and has done a good job in front of the cameras. He has good personality and wit so I’m not sure why they let him go.

I like Sharpe and I can see him landing on the NFL network with his brother. Marino I’m not sure about, he has great draw in Miami but on the national stage I’m not so sure. He might end up with the Dolphins in some front office job, you know like the one he left to do television.
