The Mannequins of Mesa County

Don't take this the wrong way, but there are a lot of fake people in and around Grand Junction. We must have more mannequins per square mile than any city in America. Seriously. Is this a retirement village for plastic people?

Not long ago, I had the chance to check out some of the classic cars in the museum at Allen Unique Autos. Guess who else is in the museum? That's right. Mannequins. Lots of mannequins. Cop mannequin, Willie Nelson mannequin, Marilyn Monroe mannequin, etc.

On the way back home, I noticed actual working mannequins. It's like living in an M. Night Shyamalan movie.

I think the weirdest part of all is that no one ever asks why we have so many mannequins. I'm not trying to be a mannequin racist, but lifeless but very realistic looking people staring at me kinda freaks me out.

Have you accepted that we have so many mannequins around us? Is this normal to you? Maybe that rumor about Grand Junction mind control portals is true after all.
