The 2ed annual Downtown Art Festival is this weekend.

All of my visitors to Grand Junction are blown away by downtown. One of the many things that make it special is its art on display. This evening kicks off the 2ed Annual Downtown Art Festival.

The festivities continue through Saturday with the installation of this year's additions that will be on display for one year. They're part of the downtown Art On The Corner program. This year there were 48 submissions. Of those, 13 were chosen to be displayed. These pieces were curated by Avery Glassman, Programs and Exhibitions Curator, from the Western Colorado Center for the ArtsArt On The Corner, celebrating its 32ed year, is a uniquely Grand Junction deal. It's so cool that several communities around the world have implemented similar programs as a means to beautify their cities.

This weekends weather looks great. Make plans to bring the family and take in the incredible artwork lining Main Street. Brouse the downtown galleries and businesses that are hosting artists and live performances. That's this evening and throughout the day Saturday. For more info, click HERE .
