Suspect Barricaded Inside Home in Fort Collins After I-25 Chase
After a chase on I-25, two suspects are currently barricaded inside a home in Fort Collins, near East Douglas Road and La Mesa Road. Residents near that area are currently being asked to shelter in place.
According to 9News, a 911 call was made from another driver on the highway, who noticed the passenger in the suspect's car being assaulted. Wyoming deputies began to chase the car after the driver would not respond to authorities near Exit 4 in Wyoming, leading them towards Larimer County.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office followed the suspects, who sought shelter in a home in Fort Collins.
Larimer County sent out a reverse 911 alert that read:
"Residents on La Mesa Drive south to the intersection of Terry Ridge Road and Woodridge Road west to Harbor Way at East Douglas Road and the east to Hwy 1 and East Douglas Road are being asked to take shelter and remain inside their homes with doors and windows locked."
Larimer County SWAT is active at the scene, and we will update as soon as we have more info.
