Fort Collins Acupuncturist Arrested for Sexually Abusing Clients
A Fort Collins acupuncture therapist has been arrested following an investigation which revealed he was sexually abusing his clients.
In early August 2020, a female victim contacted the Fort Collins Police to report that while receiving services at Old Town Acupuncture, she was inappropriately touched without her consent by the business's owner, Kent Nixon. 44-year-old Nixon is also the sole operator at Old Town Acupuncture, located at 723 Cherry Street.
As the investigation into this report continued, additional victims were identified as having been sexually abused by Nixon, according to a Fort Collins Police press release.
Fort Collins Police arrested Nixon on August 19, and he was booked into the Larimer County Jail on three felony charges of Unlawful Sexual Contact, as well as a felony Sexual Assault.
Detectives working on this case are concerned that more unreported incidents of abuse may have occurred, and are encouraging victims to come forward. Anyone with further information is asked to contact Detective Dollie Knab at 970-416-2825 or at tipsline@fcgov.com. The identities of sexual abuse victims are always protected by Colorado law.
