You Can Get a Bottle of Colorado Bourbon Featured on Star Trek: Picard
A bourbon straight out of Fort Collins, Colorado, traveled through time and space to make an appearance on Star Trek: Picard. Have you tried this spirit before? Now you can.
Colorado Makes An Appearance In The Final Frontier
This bourbon out of Fort Collins, Colorado appeared just days ago on Star Trek: Picard's season two episode six entitled "Two of One." Are you familiar with this distillery?
A Little Info About Colorado's NOCO Distillery
NOCO Distillery can be found at 328 S. Link Lane, #11, in Fort Collins, Colorado. I'm no expert when it comes to bourbons, but from what I'm hearing, they create a premium product. Their website reads:
Our micro distillery, is located in Fort Collins, Colorado, at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains from where we get our pristine alpine water. We only use copper stills (Column & Pot Stills as shown below). We ferment our batches for up to 3 weeks to allow the maximum flavor profile possible. Our slow distillation process increases reflux and copper contact. Our smaller cuts offer a much smoother spirit. We use only the finest American & European oak casks to age our premium craft spirits.
Take a look at the facility. It's amazing.
Did You See This Episode of Star Trek: Picard?
I didn't. While I'm a lifelong Trekkie, I must admit the first season of Star Trek: Picard left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended). Consequently, I canceled my subscription to Paramount Plus and have been unable to watch season two. I may have to resubscribe.
Star Trek Fans Can Get Their Hands On This Bourbon
I want some of this bourbon. It's my understanding that NOCO is a small distillery, and as a result, their product is hard to find. Do not fear! We Trekkies stick together.
I called and spoke with a rep at NOCO earlier this morning. According to him, Star Trek fans were lined up outside his business at 7 o'clock this morning wanting to purchase their bourbon. Customers are purchasing the product by the case.
When it comes to the particular "batch" featured on Star Trek: Picard, you can get your hands on some of that, too. That batch is still in the barrel as we speak. It will continue to age through the end of the year. At that time, though, look out.
Thanks to NoCo, you can get your hands on a bottle of this fine whiskey. NOCO's official webpage states:
STAR TREK WHISKEY FANS PLEASE FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW FOR A CHANCE TO BE ABLE TO ORDER A BOTTLE OF BOURBON II ONCE RELEASED.
BOURBON II - BATCH 8 - CASK 427
LIMITED TO ONE PER CUSTOMER
LIVE LONG AND PROSPER
The rep informed me there is enough in the barrel to produce roughly 500 bottles. As of today, Wednesday, April 13, 2022, more than 500 people have already signed up to purchase a bottle from this batch. That's okay. Please continue to sign up for the waiting list. Those eligible to purchase a bottle from this particular batch will be determined by a lottery later this year.
