Coors vs Miller...The Rockies vs Brewers, the loser picks up the beer tab.

As the Colorado Rockies prepare to take on the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Division Series there's more at stake than moving on to the NLCS. Fans could get a free beer.

The series between the Rockies and Brewers will be played in the beer-sponsored ballparks of Coors Field and Miller Park. There's talk that the two breweries have a wager in the works that whichever team wins this round, the losing brewery would pick up the beer tab the following Friday at participating bars in that city. Meaning...that if the Rockies win the series with the Brewers, Miller would pick up the beer tab at participating bars in Denver and vice versa. The winning cities "Free Beer Day" will be Friday, October 12th.

The details are still being hammered out. This we do know, there will be a limit of one beer per person and while supplies last. Of course, you must be 21.

It's a little weird because the two beer brands are owned by the same company. It's kind of like collecting a bet from your brother, he probably owed you the money anyway. Miller-Coors had this to say...“there’s nothing wrong with a little friendly rivalry, especially when the fans are the true winners.”
